  1. The Kennel Recording Studio Equipment
    1. 1967 Fender Bandmaster amplifier at The Kennel Recording Studio
    2. New and vintage pre-amps, compressors & effects, including a pair of 1960s Quad Eight LA-24s and some seriously funky toys.

A sweet mic collection, including a matched pair of AKG 414s and an Earthworks Omni.

Vintage amps, like our 1967 blackface Bandmaster, a classic 1978 Marshall JMP 100W and an early ’70s Traynor bass head that kicks ass.

Two nice drum sets to choose from, including Wharton’s vintage Slingerland kit, heard on classic recordings by Helmet and others.

      Our console is a 36-track AMR 2400.

      For analog recording, a 2-inch, 24-track Otari MTR-90 MkII and a 24-track Tascam MSR-24 1-inch machine.

Digitally, we run Pro Tools HD and Pro Tools 8.0 with 32 ins and outs.

  2. The Kennel is quickly becoming our favorite place to record. Being able to capture the full band live to tape is amazing, plus access to glorious vintage gear to boot… what else could we ask for!? The staff are so relaxed during sessions, we forget they are even there. Billy has a great ear, but most importantly listens for the sound the band is actually going for. All in all, the Kennel creates a perfect atmosphere to do what you came to do — make music.”
